Photos taken during and after the 29 October 2011 Snowstorm

This storm deposited 5.0" (12.7cm) of snow here in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Snow began during the morning as light rain but quickly changed over to snow. The snowfall was quite heavy at times during the afternoon. The heavy accumulations of wet snow on trees that hadn't shed their leaves yet resulted in downed tree limbs and widespread loss of power. It was a remarkable event. We rarely get even a trace of snow in this area during October. Temperatures remained slightly above freezing for most of the storm.
