This storm deposited 5.53" (139.9mm) of rain here in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Warnings of hurricane force winds were issued before Irene arrived but the storm weakened considerably before reaching us. Although I recorded a peak wind gust of only 35mph, serious flooding of low-lying areas near the Hackensack River did occur.
